The C6K supports multiple HDR formats, including Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and HLG. The high peak brightness level allows viewers to see clear images even in bright rooms. TCL includes a High Vertical Alignment (HVA) panel with a native contrast ratio between 6000:1 and 7000:1, depending on the model. The panel also offers a wide viewing angle and power-efficient performance.

TCL uses its in-house AiPQ Pro Processor to enhance picture quality in real time. The chip performs pixel-level image adjustments and adapts brightness and contrast based on ambient lighting. The AI Contrast feature improves detail visibility in both dark and bright scenes by adjusting the image according to the viewing environment.

The C6K comes with an integrated 2.1-channel Onkyo speaker system. TCL includes independent subwoofers on the back of the TV to deliver deeper bass. The audio system supports Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X, which aim to provide immersive, multi-directional sound without requiring external speakers.

The TV runs on Google TV and supports Google Assistant voice commands. It includes HDMI 2.1 and HDMI 2.0 ports, USB 3.0, Ethernet LAN, and Wi-Fi 6. TCL has also received TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light emissions, which may help reduce eye strain during extended viewing sessions.

The company’s commercial display initiative is backed by CSOT, a TCL group company and one of the largest panel manufacturers globally. This integration allows TCL to maintain control over its hardware components and manufacturing processes, which may benefit performance and supply chain reliability.

TCL’s displays will be used in the upcoming Olympic Games as part of its role as an official sponsor. The displays will support visual communications within Olympic Villages through applications such as digital signage and navigation systems.

TCL’s AI Super Drum T7R Pro Wants to Rethink How Clean Your Clothes Can Get

TCL T7R Pro AI Super Drum Washing Machine

Washing machines have long freed us from hand scrubbing, but they still falter when it comes to tough stains. TCL’s AI Super Drum T7R Pro wants to change that. The company claims it achieves a 1.31 clean ratio, driven by a fully AI-powered wash system. During China’s 618 shopping festival, it surged to the top of bestseller lists on JD.com and Tmall, sparking real consumer interest.

At this year’s AWE 2025, TCL showed off the T7R Pro as proof that Chinese appliance tech has reached global heights. The company, with 30 years of expertise and over 1,600 patents, has already won awards like the iF Design and IFA Innovation Gold. Now it is pushing toward smarter, cleaner washing.

TCL T7R Pro AI Super Drum Washing Machine

The hardware is a big part of the story. The 540mm drum, larger than industry norms, lets clothes tumble with more force, helping dislodge deep grime. Six 6D lifters with bionic ridges guide garments in an S-curve, targeting hard-to-clean zones like collars and cuffs. Even delicate fabrics benefit, thanks to a wave-patterned drum wall that cushions clothes. Silk and stuffed toys come out pristine.

But the real shift is AI. TCL’s Fuxi AI model reads fabric and stain types using eight sensors. Toss in a mixed load of cotton and wool? The machine automatically adjusts wash settings and temperatures. It also doses detergent with near-perfect precision, guided by optical sensors, keeping waste and residue to a minimum.

Drying gets an upgrade too. Instead of blasting clothes with high heat, the T7R Pro uses a low 55°C cycle to keep garments soft. For delicates, TCL offers the compact Minion Mini Washer, with high-temp and UV cycles perfect for underwear and stubborn stains.

The T7R Pro blends brute cleaning power with AI finesse. It feels less like a washing machine and more like a connected home device that knows how to treat your clothes and your time.

TCL QM5K QD-Mini LED TVs launched in US with premium display tech, HDR & gaming features

TCL QM5K QD-Mini LED TV

TCL is expanding its QD-Mini LED ambitions in the US with the launch of the new QM5K series, a feature-packed 4K smart TV lineup designed to strike a balance between premium performance and accessible pricing. Positioned as the entry point in the brand’s 2025 Mini LED range, the QM5K sits just below the more advanced QM6K lineup and follows closely on the heels of TCL’s flagship Q8MK debut.

TCL QM5K QD-Mini LED Specifications

At first glance, the QM5K doesn’t scream “entry-level.” It borrows much of the premium DNA from TCL’s higher-end sets, starting with the QD-Mini LED backlight system paired with the company’s new Halo Control System. This combo, now trickling down to more affordable models, allows the QM5K to push for deeper contrast and brightness precision, with up to 300 local dimming zones (LD300) helping it deliver richer blacks and more controlled highlights.

Color performance is similarly ambitious. Thanks to its QLED layer, the TV achieves vibrant, punchy tones while maintaining accuracy across a wide gamut, ideal for HDR content. Speaking of which, TCL packs the QM5K with nearly every major HDR format: Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG, all covered under its HDR Pro+ umbrella.

TCL’s AIPQ Processor sits at the core, dynamically optimizing contrast, color, sharpness, and even backlighting in real-time, based on the input signal. It also powers Motion Rate 240 with MEMC frame insertion, a tech cocktail designed to reduce blur and improve clarity for fast-paced scenes, be it in films or competitive gaming. For gamers, TCL throws in its Game Accelerator 144 tech (on 55-inch and up), along with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for responsive, lag-free gameplay.

Audio isn’t an afterthought either. Models 55 inches and above include an Onkyo 2.1-channel speaker system with a built-in subwoofer. TCL also supports Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X for immersive 3D sound, even through the TV’s onboard speakers.

Design-wise, the QM5K aims for minimalism. It’s ultra slim, with discreet cable management and easy-access ports, all wrapped into a clean aesthetic that won’t look out of place in modern living rooms. It runs on Google TV, supporting both Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2, and integrates smoothly with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit for voice control.
